Winter Break - PHS Culinary Arts Sous Chef Cooking Challenge

Students will...

Challenge their cooking skills by preparing at least ONE meal with items purchased from the Dollar Tree Stores Inc.

Include the following:
Picture of the meal being prepared by the student - 25%
Picture of placed dish - 50%
Receipt identifying at least 75% or more items purchased at dollar tree dated in the month of February - 25%

Meal Ideas for Dollar Tree Stores Challenge
Breakfast Meal Idea #1 – Cereal w/Milk - $2.00 (add toast & egg) – additional $2.00
Breakfast Meal Idea #2 – Pancakes w/ sausage or bacon - $2.00 (syrup & butter, if not in house) - $4.00
Breakfast Meal Idea #3 – Smoothie (frozen strawberry, banana, yogurt, mango juice) add ice in house - $3.00 (blender needed)
Breakfast Meal Idea #4 – Grill Cheese sandwich (w/ butter in house) - $2.00
Breakfast Meal Idea #5 – Frozen waffles w/ sausage or bacon - $2.00 (syrup & butter, if not in house) - $4.00
Meal Idea #1 – Rib-eye Steak w/ Frozen vegetables (onion & peppers mix), soft taco shell - $3.00
Meal Idea #2 – Salmon or other meat w/ frozen vegetables, rice - $3.00
Meal Idea #3 – Pasta w/ sauce, French bread - $3.00
Meal Idea #4 – Cheese Quesadillas - $2.00 w/ meat add – additional $1.00
Meal Idea #5 – Soup & Sandwich (bread, meat, cheese) – condiments in house-$4.00
Dessert Idea #1 – Pound cake
Dessert Idea #2 – Cookies
Dessert Idea #3 – Apple or Peach Pie
